I’d like to begin with an important quote by the legendary American industrialist and automaker, Henry Ford, who said, “You can’t build a reputation on what you’re gonna do.” Most of us at one time or another have tried to do exactly that. Transferring your intentions onto paper in the form of your action plan is the best place to begin. You may have heard the phrase, “nothing is dynamic until it is specific.”
NOW is the best time to be honest with yourself and put your goals and action plan down in writing. New year, new you . . . right? You CAN make it happen.
Commit your goals to paper and try to make them as clear and specific as possible. What do you plan to do to reach your daily goals, weekly goals, and monthly goals? What would you like to accomplish in 30 days, 3 months, 6 months and one year? Where do you see yourself 3 – 5 years from now? Lay it all out. Be sure to make your plans realistic according to your current skill level and commitment level. It says in Proverbs 21:5 that “the plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty.” Do you want plenty?
